MEICA Water Engineers was launched by leading MEICA experts who have been working in the water and wastewater infrastructure sector in the UAE for more than 10 years. They represent the Committee that leads our organization.

Why was MEICA Water Engineers created?

MEICA Water Engineers was created to promote the integration between three disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical and ICA) that play a major role in the success of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, which we feel deserves more recognition and celebration. We aim to achieve this goal by creating opportunities for face-to-face networking, learning, and development. 

We believe that face-to-face events are key for networking, and provide far greater growth and development opportunities to industry professionals, compared to online forums. 

Is MEICA Water Engineers related to the UAE Society of Engineers (SOE)?

The UAE Society of Engineers is a semi-governmental organization, the only formal UAE body of engineering. Membership is mandatory for engineers working in the UAE. On the other hand, MEICA Water Engineers is an engineering community established by MEICA engineers who are experts in the field, and is not part of the SOE.

What does MEICA Water Engineers offer?

Our current focus is to organize regular face-face events that allow the industry professionals to meet, network, and discuss opportunities, challenges and best practices in the industry.

What are the MEICA Water Engineers’ activities?

Currently, we offer face-to-face events. These seminars will feature talks with industry professionals covering a wide range of topics, relevant to the industry.  Refer to our Events List for more information.  

How can I get involved with MEICA Water Engineers?

To become part of our community and attend our events, we offer membership that can be granted when you sign up here.

Is membership free?

Annual membership is offered at an affordable fee. The membership fee helps us to sustain our operations, in order to provide the benefits to our members, by offsetting the running costs. Our funding is mainly provided through the contributions and donations of our Committee, to cover administrative and operational costs, such as equipment, business operations, government fees, and maintaining our website operations etc.

Where can I learn about the events?

Upcoming events will be advertised through social media posts. You can also visit the Events page on our website. To attend an event you will need to sign up using the sign-up link for the particular event. There is an affordable event fee to cover costs that are associated with event organization.

Are there opportunities to join the Committee?
Over the next few weeks and months, we will be developing opportunities for our members to join our Committee as volunteers.
